Job summary

FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician for maintenance of wafer fabrication assembly and facilities equipment in our Santa Clara, CA facility.

The role involves troubleshooting, repair, and coordinating with external contractors for scheduled maintenance. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of related experience, strong hands-on skills with vacuum and lithography tools, and proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and 4-6 years of related experience.
• Experience with high vacuum equipment, lithography tools, wet benches and/or measurement equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair wafer fabrication assembly and facilitate equipment for product lines, with minimal assistance.

• Ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse team, as well as individually.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be highly organized.
• Must be a self-starter and comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of wafer fabrication assembly and facilities equipment for production lines.
• Troubleshooting and repairing downed equipment and assisting engineering staff.
• Schedule and coordinate with outside contractors for maintenance.
• Identify PMs to support stability of equipment with minimal assistance.
• Use test/diagnostic equipment to perform troubleshooting and repair.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
• Provide training to other technicians and operators.
• Train peers on process and operational improvements and equipment maintenance.
• Implement equipment modifications as directed by supervisors/engineers.

Job Description

Pay rate for position: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

This position schedule is considered a C ompressed Work Week - Back End Nights - Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday. 5:30 pm - 6:00 am

Position Summary

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for the maintenance of wafer fabrication assembly and facilities equipment for production lines.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing downed equipment and assisting engineering staff in establishing and implementing periodic equipment maintenance.
• Responsible for scheduling and working with outside contractors for equipment maintenance covered by service contracts.
• Responsible for identifying PM’s to support stability of wafer fabrication assembly and facilities equipment for production lines with minimal assistance.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform troubleshooting and repair wafer fabrication assembly and facilities equipment.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
• Provides training to other technicians and operators.
• Responsible for training of peers on process and operational improvement and equipment maintenance.
• Perform equipment modifications as directed by supervisors, managers and engineers.
• Technician responsible for training of peers on process and operational improvement and equipment maintenance.

Physical Demands

• Standing or walking, use of hands to finger, handling, feeling, reaching with hands and arms, kneeling, crouching or crawling over two-thirds of the time.
• Lifting up to 25 lbs over two-thirds of the time.
• Must have normal color vision and must be able to identify wiring color codes.

Work Environment

• Works in wafer fabrication and clean room environment, requiring clean room gowning (smock, hood, gloves, booties, etc.)
• Exposure to moderate noise levels.
• Exposure to stored energy hazards (electricity, compressed gases, etc.)
• Works in a facility that houses hazardous chemicals.
• May potentially handle hazardous waste in accordance with the safe work practices defined in Hazardous Communication and Hazardous Waste training programs. Initial training is required upon hiring status and every 3 years thereafter. Employees handling hazardous waste will insure that waste containers in their work areas are properly labeled and dated. Employees will ensure that waste containers are closed after transferring waste to them. Report any incidents involving hazardous waste to supervisor.
