Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA, is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems on aircraft production equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, document activities in CMMS, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, and a 2-year technical degree may offset one year of experience.

What You Will Do

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems on aircraft production equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability
• Diagnose equipment issues and implement corrective actions to reduce repeat failures
• Complete repairs, calibrations, and equipment setup activities to required specifications
• Document maintenance activities and equipment performance in the CMMS system
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and Management teams to support manufacturing operations
• Assist with equipment testing, installation, and training initiatives
• Support continuous improvement efforts and equipment upgrades
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3 years of maintenance experience supporting electrical controls and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment
• A 2-year technical degree may substitute for one year of experience
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment using pneumatic and electrical hand tools
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
• Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work any shift
• CNC and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) experience preferred
• Experience replacing spindles, ball screws, bearings, linear guideways, and performing hydraulic repairs is a plus
• Machine alignment and laser alignment experience is a plus
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Education And Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 3 years experience working with electrical controls and mechanical applications in a manufacturing environment. 2 year technical degree may offset one year of experience.

Position Purpose

Under general supervision provides expertise with respect to electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems for troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades and preventative maintenance to all aircraft related production equipment.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:

• Diagnoses cause of electrical and mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and apply corrective action to resolve re-occurring issues.
• Proactively conducts Preventive and Predictive Maintenance inspections and performs required. duties in accordance with recommended schedules.
• Performs repairs and corrective maintenance to equipment with a high degree of quality and reliability so that the equipment is capable of operating within the required. specifications.
• Performs setup and calibrations on scheduled intervals for all aircraft related production equipment .
• Daily input of required. data in CMMS system for machine reliability and control.

Additional Functions

• Interfaces daily with key Management and Production personnel regarding all aircraft related production equipment. .
• Assists with Engineering acceptance testing and training. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements

• Ability to work any shift.
• Background in CNC Equipment and GSE Equipment a plus.
• Must be able to read electrical schematics and blue prints.
• Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed.
• Must have demonstrated working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls aspects of factory automation systems and the integration of devices used.
• Working knowledge of replacing spindles, ball screws, linear guide ways, bearings, hydraulics repairs, and precision machine/laser alignments is a plus.
• A working knowledge of PC based Microsoft office. Experience with computerized maintenance management software relevant to spare parts management, work order creation, and Preventive Maintenance preferred.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
