Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment within our manufacturing environment.

You will dismantle devices, inspect systems, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime. Candidates must read technical manuals, interpret wiring diagrams, complete electronic work orders, and comply with safety and ITAR requirements as a US citizen.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance practices and safe use of manual/power tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals, operation instructions, schematics and diagrams.
• Ability to read/write English and communicate status via email.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams and P&IDs is a plus.
• Willingness to work 8–10 hour shifts, stand for long periods, and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and equipment installations throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Dismantle devices to access parts for inspection or repair.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential failures and schedule repairs.
• Submit maintenance requests and document completed work.
• Update team on status of tasks via email or verbally to the Maintenance Manager.
• Follow safety, environmental, and health policies and procedures.
• Document all work neatly and accurately.
• Train other technicians in preventative maintenance skills.
• Follow safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste.

Scope

Equipment Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs on various production and facility equipment. May also perform emergency repairs and assist with equipment installations as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform Repairs and equipment installations throughout manufacturing facility
• Dismantle devices to gain access to parts requiring inspection or repair
• Inspect equipment systems to a level that will identify possible failures and repair or schedule repairs as needed
• Communicate the completion of all work performed by filling out a maintenance request or a preventative maintenance form
• Communicate the status of all incomplete tasks verbally and/or via e‑mail to the technician taking over the task or the Maintenance Manager
• Adhere to all environmental, safety and health policies plans and procedures
• Complete all departmental documentation neatly, completely and accurately
• Train other technicians in the skills required to perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Follow all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste with regard to use, mixing and disposing chemicals

Essential Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge and experience in applying general maintenance practices, mechanical aptitude, and ability to correctly and safely use manual and power tools
• Exceptional attention-to-detail and capable of reading and following technical/construction instructions, operation manuals, equipment install specifications, schematics, and diagrams
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical as-built will be a plus
• General computer skills and ability to complete electronic work orders, enter data into systems, and send emails
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
• Ability to troubleshoot electro‑magnetic equipment would be a plus
• Solution‑focused mindset; recommend and implement improvements to processes increasing efficiency and see projects through to completion
• Mathematical ability sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate averages
• Ability to work 8-10 hour days, standing for most of the shift
• Able to lift and carry 75 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to safely drive a box truck, van, or company car
• Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position
• Overtime, weekend, and on‑call availability is required
• Due to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen
