Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) in Lewiston, ID, is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician I to perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on manufacturing equipment. You will enter data into the maintenance system and work under supervision to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, basic electronics knowledge, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Access.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronic technology or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic technology and theory.
• Experience maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Access.
• Ability to accept and understand direction, learn new skills and assume new responsibilities with a positive attitude.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL; negative drug test.

2. Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of issues found during preventive maintenance and reactive calls.

_ Preferred Qualifications _

Experience troubleshooting and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment, including analog, digital, and microprocessor circuits as well as vision and robotics systems.
Basic knowledge of programming automated production equipment.
Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly, and cable assembly processes

Pay Range Data:

Equipment Maintenance Technician I - $34.81 -$48.60 per hour

Our compensation ranges are based on the responsibilities of the role. Starting pay is determined individually and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and training. Candidates may be considered at different levels based on their background. As a result, pay may vary to align with the level of the role.
