Job summary

IEM seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment on 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM). You will troubleshoot problems, read manuals, and work with operators, plant managers and vendors to keep production running.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of equipment repair experience in manufacturing; metal and copper fabrication equipment experience is a plus.

• Experience with metal and copper fabrication equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform and complete preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.

• Work with Materials, Machine operators and Plant Managers.
• Maintain equipment logs and complete related paperwork in CMMS.

Purpose of Position

This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.

Shift Timing

This position is 3rd Shift: 10:00PM - 6:30AM

Essential Functions

• Perform and complete preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Familiarity with both manual and CNC machine tool installations.
• Evaluate, troubleshoot, diagnose equipment problems and recommend repairs.
• Must work closely with Materials, Machine operators and Plant Managers.
• Establish a relationship with vendors and work with them in repairing the equipment.
• Able to read and understand parts and service manuals to recommend repairs of equipment.
• Will be required to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Complete all related paperwork and computerized maintenance management systems including maintaining equipment logs.
• Perform other duties which may be required by supervisor.
• Parts ordering and inventory management.
• Will be tasked to work with Facility maintenance techs as needed

Education and Experience
