Job summary

Modern Corporation is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production equipment in a Buffalo industrial facility. The role requires diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, reading schematics, and maintaining safe operation of conveyors and motors.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, PLC troubleshooting skills, and experience in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PLC troubleshooting and problem solving with practical mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Prior experience working with conveyors preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Mechanical or trade school certificate preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written form.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs control panels and associated components, motor control circuits, building and lighting circuits.
• Diagnoses electrical systems, circuit breakers and low voltage power distribution systems, AC/DC motors, PLC and VFD drive systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems of production and plant equipment.
• Reads electrical/mechanical and schematic drawings to maintain equipment safely and in compliance with codes.
• Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment, air compressors, hydraulic systems, conveyors, gear boxes and air handler units.
• Operates shop machinery including drill press, lathes, milling machine and hand tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Equipment Maintenance Technician

FULL TIME Manual Labor Buffalo, NY, US

Salary Range: $30.00 To $34.00 Hourly

Position Summary

The Equipment Maintenance technician performs repairs physical plan equipment in an industrial recycling environment. Duties include diagnosing and repairing all mechanical and electrical maintenance issues associated with maintaining production machinery and equipment throughout the facility.

• Installs and repairs control panels and associated components, motor control circuits, building and lighting circuits.
• Diagnoses electrical systems, circuit breakers and low voltage power distribution systems, AC/DC motors, PLC and VFD drive systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems of the production and physical plant equipment.
• Reads electrical/mechanical and schematic drawings to maintain equipment in a safe working manner in accordance with appropriate codes and ordinances.
• Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment, air compressors, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, gear boxes, and air handler units.
• Operate shop machinery, drill press, laths, milling machine and hand tools.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
