Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Lewiston, ID seeks an Equipment Maintenance Technician I to perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on production equipment.

You will document work in the maintenance database and operate under supervision, aligning with SEL values and World Class Manufacturing principles. Qualified candidates have an associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience, with strong skills in analog/digital electronics, test equipment, and MS

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in electronic technology.
• Basic understanding of electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic technology.
• Experience maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
• Basic knowledge of modern test equipment used to diagnose equipment failures.
• Expertise in Excel, Word, and Access.
• Ability to follow directions and learn new skills.
• Strong writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a team and learn new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform preventive maintenance of basic complexity on manufacturing equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of issues found during preventive maintenance and reactive calls.
• Work under guidance of Supervisor and Tech IIs/IIIs to complete tasks.
• Enter and maintain accurate entries in the equipment maintenance database.
• Follow SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Learn and simplify processes as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
