Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Equipment Installer I to perform quality installations in Data Center/Construction environments, following engineering instructions and customer standards. This field-based role requires regional and occasional national travel.

Responsibilities include installing equipment, analyzing on-site drawings and MOPs, ensuring compliance with standards, and prioritizing safety with PPE. Strong customer service and basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal, written and customer-facing skills.
• Basic computer skills to include MS Office or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge and skills with hand tools.
• OSHA10 required, OSHA30 preferred.
• Fall protection preferred.
• Manlift/Forklift certification preferred.

The anticipated salary range for this role in the Illinois locality is between $55,000 to $65,000 per year based on a 40-hour work week—salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary.Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to receive and/or participate in profit sharing, allowances, travel and/or car expenses, and earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization depending on the terms of the employee’s role and individual offer details.
