Job description

The 1st Shift Equipment Forklift / Machine Operator is responsible for manufacturing procedures associated with line set-up, labeling, filling, casing, quality inspection and machine operation / repair. The Filling Machine Operator is also responsible for equipment changeovers.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Direct activities associated with line clean‑up, set‑up, and equipment changeovers.

Monitor activities associated with ensuring that product quality expectations are exceeded.

Fluent in operation of assigned production lines and communicating manufacturing directions.

Perform in-process inspections of packaged products for quality defects on a continual basis.

Visual inspection of manufacturing areas for in-process deficiencies and cleanliness.

Responsible for complete and accurate data entry on batch record.

Communicate to manager any issues encountered during the shift.

Physical attendance is an essential element of the job.

Desirable Education and Experience

Minimum of High School diploma or GED.

One year or more of manufacturing experience.

Experience associated with exceptional work quality / customer service skills.
