Coastal Construction Equipment LLC is seeking a Yard Operations Associate to support daily yard activities. You will manage equipment staging, inventory documentation, and customer interactions to ensure a clean and efficient yard environment.

The role emphasizes accurate paperwork, timely machine prep updates, and proactive safety practices in an outdoor setting. Prior yard ops or heavy equipment exposure is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Greet customers promptly and maintain a friendly, attentive demeanor.
• Communicate clearly about machine prep status and timing.
• Ensure all required customer paperwork is signed and stored properly.
• Receive, barcode, and reposition machines; remove stickers from used equipment.
• Hook up hydro-mechanical tools to verify functionality before delivery.
• Stage machines for pickup and nightly parts trucks within 30 minutes of notification.
• Perform weekly inventory scans and reconciliations; complete shipping/receiving records in DBS.
• Send photos of received used machines to the Manager.
• Keep the yard clean, organized, and proactively wash machines and attachments.
• Conduct daily yard walks to check for open doors, misplaced equipment, damage or safety concerns.
• Respond promptly to phone calls and texts; maintain clear internal communication.
• Operate equipment safely with basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Position Scope:

This position supports daily yard operations by managing equipment staging, inventory documentation, and customer interactions. The role ensures a clean, organized, and efficient yard environment while delivering a high-quality experience for both internal teams and external customers.

Essential Job Functions:

• Customer Experience
• Greet customers promptly upon arrival and maintain a friendly, calm, and attentive demeanor.

• Ensure all required customer paperwork is signed, recorded, and stored appropriately.

Equipment Handling & Staging

• Receive, barcode, and reposition new and used machines as needed.
• Remove customer stickers from used equipment.

• Stage machines for customer pickup, shift preps, and nightly parts trucks—within 30 minutes of internal notification.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

Prior experience in yard operations, equipment handling, or a related field preferred; familiarity with construction or heavy equipment is a plus.

Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.

Effective communication skills and comfort using mobile apps/systems (e.g., Record360, DBS) for documentation and coordination.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be able to pass background check, physical exam and drug screening test.

Work Environment:

The environment is collaborative, and you will work closely with cross-functional teams such as operations, sales, parts and service. Flexibility and adaptability are key as you may need to address emerging issues and balance multiple priorities. The workplace fosters a customer-focused culture, where excellence in customer service quality, both internally and externally, is a primary objective.

This position is primarily outdoors and requires working in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow. The role involves physical activity, operating equipment, and navigating a busy yard environment throughout the day. Personal protective equipment must be worn in areas as required. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, employees must be careful while performing onsite services.
