Job summary

Ascentek is seeking an Estimator to support Sales by evaluating job sites and preparing estimates. You’ll review drawings, assist with bid lists and material planning, and ensure constructability and value engineering are addressed.

The role collaborates with Operations and Field Technicians to keep projects compliant and on budget, while addressing client questions to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certificate in Engineering, Planning or Construction Management.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Analytical abilities and teamwork are essential.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Visit project work sites, clarify scope of work, and prepare cost estimates and proposals.
• Evaluate projects for constructability and value-engineering cost savings.
• Develop strategies to achieve objectives related to price, schedule and quality.
• Review contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders to ensure goals are met.
• Identify issues early and facilitate effective solutions.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and industry networking functions.
• Perform other duties as required.
