Job summary

Texas Instruments Incorporated seeks an Equipment Engineer to optimize manufacturing equipment performance, uptime, and reliability. You will evaluate and implement cost-effective equipment, oversee upgrades, and support maintenance strategies across the production floor.

This role requires coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams to analyze performance, respond to manufacturer notices, and develop preventative maintenance schedules for ongoing operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience evaluating, selecting and ordering manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to oversee installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance activities.
  • Maintains awareness of manufacturers' notices, upgrades and safety issues.
  • Studies equipment performance and reliability for process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is cost effective for manufacture.
  • Overseeing installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Staying current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
  • Studying equipment performance and reliability.
  • Establishing uptime improvement programs and solutions for equipment issues.
  • Providing technical support to repair and process engineering teams.
  • Defining and writing preventative maintenance schedules.
