Job summary

Stellant Systems in Torrance, CA is seeking an Equipment Engineer II to support production test operations at our Torrance facility. You will validate, troubleshoot, and sustain specialized test equipment and power systems, collaborating with engineering specialists and the repair team.

The role offers mentorship and development in high-voltage topologies, STE, and vendor collaboration, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on electronics troubleshooting in test environments.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Strong communication and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Eligibility for security clearance (government investigation).

Responsibilities

Assist in optimizing STEs, test fixtures, cabling harnesses, and bench instrumentation supporting production hardware.
Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits using oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, and RF power meters.
Partner with senior engineers to troubleshoot, maintain, and safely operate high-voltage switching power supplies (up to 60kV) and hi-pot safety test apparatus.
Manage incoming and outgoing equipment repair, establish scopes of work for external repairs and track asset turnaround times.
Work closely with manufacturing floor technicians to resolve bench-level test issues, document standard repair procedures, and enforce laboratory electrical safety standards.
