Job summary

LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Engineer I to support manufacturing efficiency from design to installation and production. The role oversees equipment set-up, preventive maintenance standards, rate improvements, and root-cause analysis to validate corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year equipment engineering experience in a production/plant environment.
• PLC experience preferred but not required.
• Six Sigma certification preferred.
• DOE (Design of experiments) preferred.
• Must be able to properly and regularly utilize PPE for up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with LGES partners and equipment vendors.
• Equipment investment and schedule management.
• Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Line of Balance (LOB) after improvements.
• Install/modify/analyze/repair/test new tools/machines/equipment in winding, assembly, formation processes.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve process quality and conduct equipment modification and improvement activities.
• Manage plans for daily maintenance activities.
• Complete daily documentation and audits of equipment performance.
• Maintain cleanliness at worksite per 5S3R standards.
• Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
