Job summary

Texas Instruments Incorporated in Dallas is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support manufacturing. You will evaluate, select, and implement equipment that enhances productivity and product quality, and provide hands-on technical support to the production teams.

The role covers installation, modification, upgrades, maintenance, and ongoing reliability. You will stay current with equipment manufacturers' notices and safety issues, study performance data, and help write preventive maintenance

Qualifications

Experience evaluating manufacturing equipment and selecting cost-effective solutions.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance schedules and downtime reduction.
Ability to work cross-functionally with maintenance and process engineering.

Responsibilities

Evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products
Overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
Keeping current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues
Studying equipment performance and reliability
Establishing programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
Providing technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
Defining and writing preventative maintenance schedules
