Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in Fort Worth is seeking an Equipment Engineer to maintain SMT machines used in PCBA processes, providing technical support to production and related teams. This 100% onsite, full-time role focuses on keeping lines running efficiently and safely.

You will install and set up new equipment, train engineers and technicians, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with vendors. A hands-on problem solver with at least 2 years of engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar engineering role with hands-on involvement in design, testing, development and manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to identify complex technical issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Proven project management experience from initiation to closure with scope, plans, resources and progress tracking.

• In charge of equipment repair and troubleshooting.
• Weekly meetings with machine vendors and collaboration with the team to report issues.
• Maintain machines in normal operating condition.
• In charge of machine installation and line setup.
• Train newly arrived engineers and technicians for SMT/DIP machines operation, programming, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with other departments for daily machine and quality issue discussions.
• Create procedures or work instructions for newly acquired machines.

Position Summary

Maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of SMT machines in PCBA processes. Provides technical support to production and other related functions.

Key Responsibilities

• In charge of the regular or class II machine maintenance.
• In charge of equipment repair and troubleshooting.
• Weekly meeting with the machine vendors and collaboration with the team to create report for any related issue of the machine.
• Maintain machine in normal operation condition.
• In charge of machine installation and line set up.
• Train newly arrive Engineer and technicians for related SMT/ DIP machines operation, programming, maintenance & troubleshooting.
• Collaboration with other depart for production meeting for daily machine and quality issues.
• Creation of Procedure or Work Instruction of the newly acquired machines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in other similar engineering job, including hands-on involvement in product design, testing, development and manufacturing processes.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to identify complex technical issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing projects from start to finish, including defining project scope, creating project plans, allocating resources, and tracking progress.
