Job summary

Continental Services in Livonia is seeking an Equipment Deployment Specialist to install and remove vending and market equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction. You will prepare equipment for installation, coordinate with managers and clients, and travel with the install team across the region.

The role requires a valid chauffeur's license with a clean record, ability to pass DOT requirements, and strong mechanical aptitude. Safety, accuracy, and teamwork are essential in daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid chauffeur's license with clean driving record; ability to pass DOT requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; including basic CAD drawings with measurements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Supports installation or removal of vending and market equipment.
• Prepares equipment for installation and handles installations/removals for existing and new accounts.
• Determines best approach with Managers and customers for installation/removal.
• Drives install team to locations within the region.
• Moves equipment from warehouse to customer site and vice versa with proper handling.
• Unloads, cleans, and conducts daily vehicle checks; reports vehicle problems.
• Operates mechanical equipment and basic hand tools for repair/install/removal.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment and follows safety procedures.
• Tests and fills machines to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Experience You’ll Create:

The Equipment Deployment Specialist supports the installation or removal of vending and market equipment.

• Prepares equipment for installation at accounts and does all installations and removals for current and new accounts.
• Needs to have basic knowledge of finished carpentry, millwork installation, electrical connections, plumbing connections, and IT connections.
• Works with Managers and customers to determine the best course of action to install or remove equipment.
• Install team drives to locations throughout region.
• Responsible for moving equipment from warehouse to customer site or the reverse using proper handling equipment.
• Unload and clean trash from delivery vehicle, perform daily vehicle operative checks, report vehicle problems to the proper parties, secure keys and vehicle.
• Sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools for equipment repair, installation and/or removal.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.
• Test and fill machines to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Location(s) & Logistics:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and push or pull up to 700 pounds aided by heavy equipment.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk or radiation; and vibration.
