Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate to support branch operations by assisting service technicians and sales staff. You will help with equipment checks, safety inspections, cleaning, loading/unloading, and demonstrations for customers. A valid driver’s license and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Demonstrated effective communication, multitasking and teamwork skills.
• Diligence in safety practices and procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level on return.
• Inspect equipment for safety decals and compliance; ensure good working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a tidy work area.
• Load and unload equipment; prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers; drive delivery truck as needed.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
