Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Midland, TX seeks a Training Specialist to train Service Technicians and promote safety and efficiency across the fleet. You will coordinate with dispatch, management, and field teams to ensure equipment is ready, compliant, and productive in a fast-paced rental environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on training, safety oversight, and collaboration with multiple departments to support service uptime and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of truck driving experience preferred (CDL not required).
• Excellent communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to Service Technician III and experienced technicians.
• Lead daily tailgate safety meetings.
• Help create schedules for Service Technician III.
• Coordinate with departments to repair assets/equipment.
• Coordinate with Dispatch on order priority and logs.
• Deliver, retrieve and move equipment on site.
• Fuel equipment on location as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and federal regulations.
• Transport safety when handling equipment.
• Communicate status of job orders to dispatcher.
• Liaise with management and coworkers via phone/radiotelephones.
• Promote available company services and products.
• Promote clean and safe working conditions.
• Adhere to company policies and directives.
• Other duties as assigned.
