Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate to assist service technicians, sales staff and branch personnel in delivering equipment and services to customers. You will perform manual tasks, inspect equipment, load and unload gear, and assist in ensuring safe, efficient branch operations.

This role emphasizes safety, strong customer service, and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs, with opportunities for advancement into driver or technician programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. and perform manual tasks.
• Safety-conscious with attention to detail.
• Comfort with operating and servicing equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level on return.
• Inspect equipment for safety decals and compliance; ensure good working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a tidy work area.
• Load/unload equipment and prepare it for rental.
• Demonstrate equipment to customers and operate delivery truck when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
