Summary/Objectives

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the timely delivery and installation of copiers and office equipment, ensuring correct equipment is loaded and secured to prevent damage during delivery. The Driver must verify equipment against paperwork to prevent errors in serial numbers. Before daily routes, check vehicles to ensure proper operation and prevent possible issues.

Drivers should display high sociability with customers to create a helpful, courteous impression while ensuring proper operation of machines upon installation. If necessary, place a service call. After installation, communicate progress to the Logistics Manager for information exchange with sales staff. Document returned machines, including copy counts and accessory serial numbers.

The Equipment Delivery Driver must complete a DOT exam and maintain a clear driving record.

Essential Functions

• Interface with customers regarding machine placement and effective use.
• Properly load and deliver equipment with minimal damage.
• Designate returned Blue Tag (customer machines) or Red Tag (third-party machines) with serial numbers and copy counts.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform maintenance checks of trucks and warehouse.
• Complete and pass an acceptable DOT exam.

Work Environment

Office and warehouse environment. The warehouse is heated but not cooled, which can be very hot in summer and cold in winter.

Physical Demands

Capable of lifting 50-75 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time, Monday – Friday. Occasional weekends and overtime depending on workload.
