Job Description and Responsibilities:

MEDLOG/C&K Trucking, the Drayage Specialists, is actively seeking an Intermodal Equipment Control Coordinator (ECC) for our South Kearny terminal. The ECC is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the yard while assisting the team in providing great service to our contractors and customers. The ECC must possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude with excellent communication skills, as well as a team player mindset and willingness to help wherever needed.

• Assist Dispatch with setting appointments for empty terminations, scheduling road service and any repair services needed on chassis
• Verify all service invoices are correct on work completed
• Assist with new contractor training on technology used
• Perform terminal inspection of trucks and chassis inspections, when required
• Perform daily yard checks and enter inventory data into database
• Monitor emails and answer calls pertaining to equipment issues, road service, and empty returns
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of yard and office
• Maintain inventory of all office and truck supplies
• Provide backup to all positions to help with contractors and customers
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ability to work M – F; 7am – 3:30pm
  
  
  

Skills and Basic Requirements:

• Knowledge of the intermodal trucking industry preferred
• Knowledge of intermodal container and chassis components, as well as damages and repairs a plus
• Basic computer skills are necessary
• Knowledge of MS Outlook and Excel
• Able to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Solid attention to detail with a strong attendance record and positive attitude
• Promote a team environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
