Job summary

Real Staffing Group in Alabama seeks an Equipment & Automation Engineer to support launch, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing equipment, including SolidWorks designs, BOMs, and assembly procedures.

The role involves testing, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO, CAP, and CLIA while documenting activities and coordinating prototype sourcing with vendors. Travel up to 10% and lifting up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or Associate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
• SolidWorks design and BOM management experience
• Experience creating engineering drawings and troubleshooting mechanical equipment
• Proven project execution skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel up to 10%
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Support the launch, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing equipment, including new and existing automation systems
• Create and maintain SolidWorks designs, drawings, assemblies, and BOMs
• Support PLM requirements, develop assembly procedures, and coordinate prototype sourcing with vendors
• Conduct equipment assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repairs, failure analysis, design reviews, and first article inspections
• Investigate non-conformances and ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO, CAP, and CLIA requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and identify process improvements
• Communicate project status, manage multiple priorities, and support custom equipment development
