Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Equipment Associate to support trench safety branch operations. You’ll assemble, load and unload equipment, assist with deliveries and prepare equipment for rental, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You’ll perform routine checks, verify tickets, greet customers and answer questions, and suggest equipment to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience operating medium to large forklifts preferred.
• Knowledge of trench safety equipment a plus.
• Some knowledge of computers and phone apps.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication.
• Diligent about safety.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs frequently.
• PPE and work boots provided.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, load and unload equipment, assist with deliveries and prepare equipment for rental
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy
• Greet customers and assist with customer inquiries about equipment
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs
• Other duties assigned as needed
