United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate (Matting Solutions) to perform labor tasks supporting our service capabilities in right-of-way access projects. The role involves installing erosion controls, driving stakes, applying ground restoration materials, and keeping equipment clean and ready for use.

Travel may be required for field work during weekdays or weekends with extensive overtime. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, along with ability to read English

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; fluency in reading and writing English.
• Experience in construction or labor work is a plus and demonstrates safety awareness.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks and operate hand and power tools safely.

Responsabilités

• Install erosion and sediment control devices.
• Drive wood stakes into the ground with a sledgehammer.
• Apply grass seed, fertilizer, lime, straw, and related ground restoration materials.
• Clean track equipment and remove mud and debris from access routes.
• Set up safety fencing and geotextile fabric under installations.
• Load and unload construction materials and tools.
• Spot heavy equipment during operations.

The Equipment Associate (Matting Solutions) will be responsible for all labor tasks associated with our service capabilities. Formerly YAK ACCESS, Matting Solutions is now part of the United Rentals Team and is one of North America's leading providers of right-of-way access solutions. From pipelines to power lines to civil projects, we offer unmatched expertise in total access planning, clearing, site work and restoration services.

What you'll do:

• Install erosion and sediment control devices
• Drive wood stakes into the ground with sledgehammers
• Apply grass seed, fertilizer and lime to work areas; apply straw blanket and straw to restored ground areas
• Clean track equipment, sweep and shovel mud and debris off of construction roads and right-of-way accesses
• Install T-post and safety fencing
• Install geo-textile fabric below aggregate installations
• Load and unload construction material and tools
• Spot heavy equipment while in operation

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, ability to read and write fluently (English)
• Valid driver's license
• 1+ year(s) of experience in construction and knowledge of safety hazards of construction projects
• Excellent physical stamina: strength, balance, mobility, dexterity and lifting heavy equipment
• Frequent use of hand tools: power tools, chop saws, grinders and others
• Skill in reading and interpreting Access and Construction Plans (preferred)
• Travel out of town during the week or weekends, extensive overtime

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures
