Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Columbia, SC seeks a Delivery/Shop Associate to assemble, load and unload equipment, assist with deliveries and prepare gear for rental. You will greet customers and help with inquiries while ensuring safety and quality of equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and basic computer/app knowledge; forklift experience is preferred. We offer health plans, paid leave, and career development in a diverse workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating medium to large forklifts preferred.
• Some knowledge of computers and phone apps.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

• Knowledge of trench safety equipment is an advantage but not required


• Some knowledge of computers and phone apps


• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills

• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.


• PPE and work boots are provided by the company


• This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
