Job summary

Custom Truck One Source is seeking an Equipment Assembler to upfit and customize utility trucks, including electrical wiring and hydraulics. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow installation instructions on standard CTOS vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Follow installation instructions accurately; read and interpret written/verbal guidance.
• Maintain tools and shop area; keep equipment safe and organized.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and perform related duties as assigned.

Hiring Equipment Assembler (Utility Trucks & Equipment)

• Assist with the upfit of Utility Trucks – buckets, diggers, aerials and more.
• High mechanical aptitude, 12-volt electrical wiring, Hydraulics, vehicle assembly, mechanics exp. a plus.
• Monday – Friday, 5am start to 1:30pm or 3:30pm (OT as needed)

Summary

The Installation Technician will be responsible for up-fitting and customizing vehicles to CTOS specifications. This involves adding, modifying, or enhancing equipment and features on standard utility trucks to make them suitable for specific tasks or industries.

• Installation and removal of different types of truck bodies and equipment.
• Modification of truck wheelbases, installation and removal of truck suspensions.
• Electrical and Lighting Modifications: Utility trucks often require additional lighting, power outlets, and other electrical components.
• General knowledge of electrical components such as: switches, relays, fuses, circuit breaker, diodes, resistors etc. is desired.
• Knowledge of 12V electrical systems including multi-plex wiring.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal installation instructions.
• Physically able to run wiring harnesses along frame rails of truck and in between drive axles.
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and shop area for the purpose of ensuring the availability, and functioning of, required tools and equipment within a safe work area.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Performing other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient & effective functioning of the work unit.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic computer navigation and software skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Most of the work is performed in a shop and outside.
• Ability to use carts, forklifts, hand truck, pallet jack, and equipment of such nature.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day.
• Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes
