Overview

EMPLOYER: Sherwood Lumber Corporation

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Repair & Maintenance Supervisor

EFFECTIVE DATE: 9/1/2025

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash, and cleaning restrooms and common areas.
  • Site aggregate work – Grading, Bobcat work, snow removal, waste management, landscaping, parking lot maintenance.
  • Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform routine inspections of buildings and facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are cleaned and in proper working order.
  • Comply with all shop safety policies & procedures.
  • Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, and painting repairs as necessary and/or assigned by lead mechanic and/or site leadership.
  • Restock janitorial and maintenance supplies; notify supervisor when stock is low.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school, six months to one year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required: Time & Labor Management System; and Electronic Mail Software (Outlook).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
