An established industry player is seeking an Equipment and Controls Technician to join their team at a key compressor station. This role involves troubleshooting and maintaining critical electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring operational excellence in pipeline and plant operations. The Equipment and Controls Technician (E&C Tech) is based out of Kinder Morgan’s Southern Natural Gas (SNG) St Bernard/TOCA Compressor Station located at 2400 Bayou Road, St Bernard, LA 70085.
The Toca/St Bernard Natural Gas Compressor Station work schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off, 12 hours per day. The successful candidate will be required to live at the station during his/her 7 days on. This is a great opportunity if you are an experienced Senior or Industrial Electrician, Mechanical Troubleshooter, Electrical and Controls Technician, Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (E&I Tech), Engineer, Controls, Compression Technician, Instrumentation Controls and Electric Tech, or similar. Experience working with equipment manufactured by Caterpillar, Solar, Cooper Bessemer, Clark, Siemens, and Allen Bradley is a plus. Also, PLC programming and Ladder Logic knowledge is preferable.
E&C Primary Purpose: Implements, troubleshoots and maintains electrical power circuits, all mechanical equipment, control and automation systems, electronic and pneumatic equipment used in pipeline, compressor stations and plant operations.
