Blue Ridge Equine Clinic, Inc. invites motivated veterinary graduates to join its 2027 Equine Veterinary Internship Program in Virginia. You will learn hands-on with our medical team, build confidence, and progressively take on responsibilities in a supportive environment.

The internship offers exposure to lameness, emergency care, reproduction, internal medicine, surgery, diagnostics, and preventive care, with mentorship and opportunities to grow clinically.

Qualifications

• DVM degree required.
• Compassionate and team-oriented approach to veterinary medicine.
• Strong interest in equine practice and continued clinical development.
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on mentorship with experienced equine veterinarians across a broad caseload.
• Gain exposure to lameness and performance evaluations, emergency care, reproduction, internal medicine, surgery, diagnostics, and preventive care.
• Develop diagnostic, technical, case management, and client communication skills through real cases.
• Experience ambulatory and hospital-based medicine to build a well-rounded foundation.
