AmeriVet is excited to offer the 2027 Equine Veterinary Internship at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic in Virginia. This program provides hands-on medicine, strong mentorship, and diverse caseload exposure for recent veterinary graduates seeking growth in equine practice.

Interns participate in ambulatory and hospital-based care with a focus on skill development. You will join a collaborative team, learn alongside seasoned equine clinicians, and gradually assume greater responsibility as your skills

Qualifications

• DVM degree required
• Compassionate and team-oriented approach to veterinary medicine
• Interest in equine practice and continued clinical development
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs and hold a valid license

Responsibilities

• Hands-on involvement in real cases across ambulatory and hospital settings
• Gain exposure to lameness, reproduction, internal medicine, surgery, diagnostics, and preventive care
• Work closely with experienced veterinarians to build confidence and independence
