Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum of three (3) years working with equine/livestock.
• At least 100 hours of continuing education in the equine profession, and at least 40 hours in the last 2 years.
• Obtain training related to the position such as CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention and EAGALA when offered.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the EAGALA equine therapy and related activities for clients and guests.
• Maintain familiarity with each horse's suitability for therapeutic use.
• Document classes and client activities.
• May have scheduled sessions in late afternoons/evenings or on weekends based on client needs and availability.
