Job summary

Ohio State University in Columbus seeks a Researcher 2 in Veterinary Medicine to lead laboratory work, manage records, and support studies involving large animals, especially horses.

The role requires experience with immunoassays (ELISA, RIA), PCR/RT-PCR, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. You will collaborate across the college, develop graphics, present findings, and assist faculty in multiple areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required (MS or PhD).
• Experience with large animals, especially horses, preferred.
• Experience with immunoassays (ELISA, RIA) and molecular methods (PCR/RT-PCR).
• Strong data analysis, reporting and scientific writing skills.
• Ability to teach/train others and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory records and compliance documentation (EHS).
• Place orders and prepare reports.
• Conduct experimental design and perform laboratory techniques.
• Handle large animals and collect/process biological samples (blood, urine).
• Prepare graphics/figures and manuscripts; deliver PowerPoint presentations.
