Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Veterinary Care Technician 3- LA- ICU for the Equine/Farm Animal ICU. The role supports clinicians and students in emergency and critical care, performing technical duties, patient monitoring, and surgical assistance on large animals.

40 hours per week, third shift, with holidays and on-call rotations. Minimum qualifications include a graduate of an accredited program with RVT license, passing the VTNE, and 1 year of relevant experience (2–4 preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program; RVT certification required.
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with the Veterinary Technician National Exam.
• 1 year of relevant experience required; 2–4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with technical procedures for large animals (Equine & Farm Animal).
• Provide direct large animal care, treatments, and monitoring.
• Assist in surgical procedures and prepare animals/equipment for procedures.
