Texas A&M Agrilife Research in College Station, TX, seeks a Manager to lead the barn and horses for the Equestrian Team, ensuring safe, clean facilities and coordinating maintenance with the Farm Foreman.

You will supervise student workers, coordinate with coaches and veterinarians, oversee nutrition plans, and help implement operational strategies for post-season travel and safety for all staff and horses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Five years of related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage the horse herd and facilities used by the Athletic Department – Women’s Equestrian Team.
• Communicate with coaching staff, veterinarians, and other equine service providers daily.
• Manage the equine nutrition program with routine communication with the coaching staff.
• Develops and implements operational strategies; plans and directs workflow.
• Train, supervise, and coordinate the student barn crew; include equine handling methods.
• Work with the Farm Foreman on Hildebrand Equine Complex maintenance and schedules.
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees, teams, and visitors.
• Equestrian team show preparation and post-season travel.
• Provide input for annual budgets and assist with policy changes.
