Responsibilities include maintenance of arenas, fencing, water systems, and machinery, plus coordination with outside contractors for specialized repairs.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years in general facilities maintenance or multi-trade repair.
• Equine facility familiarity preferred.
• Basic-to-intermediate electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry skills.
• Experience operating heavy farm equipment safely.
• Clean driver’s license and insurability for towing trailers or operating farm vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Equine & infrastructure upkeep: maintain arenas, barns, fencing, and lighting; ensure safety and cleanliness for horses, staff, and visitors.
• Repair doors, latches, waterers, mats, wash racks, and ventilation in barns and stalls.
• Inspect and repair perimeter fencing, gates, and run-in sheds.
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting, barn power, minor wiring, and outlets.
• Fix freeze-proof hydrants, main water lines, sump pumps, irrigation, and barn plumbing.
• Monitor and perform routine maintenance on HVAC, heating, cooling, and ventilation units.
• Perform framing, drywall repair, painting, roofing patches, and finish carpentry.
• Operate and perform preventive maintenance on tractors, mowers, UTVs, and other equipment.
• Handle road grading, gravel upkeep, weed control, and pasture mowing.
