Job summary

Peterson Smith Equine Hospital + Complete Care is seeking a full-time barn crew team member in Ocala, FL. The role focuses on maintaining clean and safe barns and surrounding areas to support patient comfort and hospital operations.

The successful candidate must be reliable, self-motivated and a team player, capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment and lifting up to 50 lbs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401k with company match and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience handling or working around horses.
• Able to stand for long periods on hard surfaces.
• Lift or move up to 50lbs.
• Capable of driving tractors and operating farm equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean occupied stalls by removing all waste and soiled straw, hay or shavings.
• Strip, wash, sanitize and disinfect entire stall after patient discharge.
• Clean, rinse and refill all water tubs.
• Distribute hay, feed and straw to the barns.
• Perform general landscaping duties such as mowing, edging, weed eating, plant/tree trimming.
