Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Equine Associate Veterinarian to join our practice. A general practitioner with strong sports medicine skills is ideal, but new graduates with a passion for equine medicine are encouraged to apply. We offer full mentorship and support for advanced training and continuing education.

Qualifications:

  • DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa

  • Experience in equine medicine preferred, but not required

  • Strong diagnostic and treatment skills for equine patients

  • Excellent communication and client education abilities

  • Collaborative mindset with a team-first attitude

  • Ability to perform farm calls within a 40-mile radius

Schedule & Work-Life Balance:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Flexible four-day work week available

  • On-call duties shared equally among veterinarians

  • Holiday on-call schedule made by unanimous agreement

  • A climate-controlled, 14-stall barn designed for hospitalization, patient boarding, foaling, and day-hold use—combining comfort with functionality
  • Two climate-controlled appointment rooms, each equipped with stocks and fully stocked with medical supplies for efficient, comfortable exams and procedures
  • An indoor lameness evaluation arena featuring controlled footing and lighting, ideal for gait analysis, flexion tests, nerve blocks, and under-saddle evaluations year-round
  • Private doctor offices for medical record keeping, case review, and focused communication
  • Dedicated stallion collection area equipped with a phantom
  • Wireless 3.3m & 1m endoscopes (gastric & upper airway)
  • Mobile dental carts fully equipped with advanced, high-quality instruments
  • Sound Next DR radiography systems
  • M-Turbo & LogiqE ultrasound machines
  • Neovet shockwave and K-Laser units
  • In-house laboratory for immediate bloodwork: CBC, Serum Chemistry, Progesterone, IgG, eACTH, eInsulin
  • Fully stocked ambulatory vehicles for field appointments

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $75,000–$100,000 (commensurate with experience)

  • Production Bonus: 22%

  • Relocation Bonus Available

  • $5,000/year Student Loan Reimbursement
