Job description

No need to endure an internship!

Mid-Hudson Veterinary Practice is hiring to fill a full-time (or part-time) large animal ambulatory veterinary associate position. We are a 3-doctor practice in Carmel, NY.

We are predominantly equine focused, but also care for some small ruminants and camelids within our practice area. We service Dutchess, Putnam, and Westchester Counties in southern NY, and Fairfield County in southwestern CT. For critical care cases and surgical emergencies, as well as advanced imaging, we refer patients to one of 3 local equine referral centers, or Cornell's or Tufts University's Veterinary Teaching Hospitals.

We welcome new grads - we will mentor and train you! Could be a full-time or part-time position.

We are looking for an excellent communicator, a team player, good collaborator, eternal student mentality, and a devotion to providing a top-notch standard of care in this active equine community. We will teach you to think outside the box, be flexible, and be creative. We offer a 4-day work week for full-time associates; evening and weekend emergency duties are shared and not overwhelming. We strongly encourage a healthy work/life balance and encourage our employees to enjoy all the beauty, relaxation, culinary delights, and exciting sports and entertainment the Hudson Valley has to offer!

Our veterinary services include all routine care, plus ultrasound, digital radiography, ProStride, power dental float, and more.

We offer a health insurance stipend, liability insurance, NY and CT licensing fees, AAEP and AVMA membership fees, stipend for CE credits, retirement matching program (IRA), fully stocked vehicle, on-call stipend, and very competitive (guaranteed first year) salary.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Clean Driver's License
