Job summary

Camp Widjiwagan of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee is hiring an enthusiastic Equestrian Lesson Instructor for a part-time summer 2026 role. You’ll teach riding lessons, guide trail rides, and care for horses and facilities while modeling the YMCA core values.

Shifts typically run Sundays to Fridays, mornings and/or evenings. Pay starts at $17 per hour with a minimum age of 18, and CPR/First Aid/AED certifications will be provided before your first shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience in horse handling (lesson experience a plus).
• Certifications like CHA or USDF are a bonus.
• Team-oriented attitude and love for working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Teach beginner and intermediate riding lessons.
• Guide trail rides and maintain horse and facility care.
• Model YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
