Job summary

D&B Supply in Caldwell, Idaho is seeking a full-time retail associate to assist customers on the sales floor and support stock and merchandising activities. The ideal candidate has knowledge of horses and tack and can help customers select merchandise and accessories.

Expect lifting, standing for long periods, and participation in resets and restocking. Experience with retail sales techniques and teamwork is preferred; HS diploma or GED is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Must have proven knowledge and experience with horses and tack.
• Knowledge of retail floor sales techniques is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures precisely.
• Ability to sort, count and verify numbers; handle stressful customer scenarios.
• Teamwork and collaboration with colleagues; some visual merchandising exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sell merchandise and advise customers on price and features.
• Provide product knowledge and suggest alternatives or accessories.
• Assist customers in ordering specialized merchandise as needed.
• Receive and display merchandise according to policies and standards.
• Answer telephones and handle routine inquiries.
• Maintain floor cleanliness and merchandise security.
• Participate in inventory cycle activities.
• Move material using handles and equipment (hand truck, pallet-jack, dolly, forklift where applicable).
• Perform other duties related to customer service, merchandising and product handling.
