Job summary

Beverly Farm Foundation in Godfrey, IL is seeking an entry-level Horse Care Assistant to support daily barn operations and essential equine care. The role involves feeding, turnout, stall upkeep, water management, and coordination with program staff for safety and wellness.

Qualifications

• Horse experience is a MUST.
• Six months experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of appropriate animal care and first aid required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Feed horses grain, hay and supplements as stipulated for each individual equine.
• Monitor animal care on daily basis and relay veterinarian/farrier needs to Program Director.
• Provide observations on changes as they affect equine health.
• Assist with barn maintenance and arena grounds.
• Communicate effectively both in verbal and written form.
