  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve DPPM test content efficiency.
  • Initial debugging of DPPM execution test failures and fix or escalate as required.
  • Develop software tools to improve SoC validation coverage and streamline debugging.
  • Create robust solutions to address execution problems.

The Role

This position requires a hands-on technical engineer who specializes in the integration, execution, and preliminary troubleshooting of tests for AMD Enterprise products, focusing on DPPM calculation. You will work closely with DPPM Debug leads and Program managers to consistently improve testing efficiency over time.

The Person

The candidate must possess a BS or MSEE degree and have over 2 years of relevant work experience in automation and testing environments. The individual must be proficient in shell and Python programming and have a solid understanding of first-level debug in x86 SOC and computer/system platforms. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrates DPPM calculation tests into large-scale data center automation environments.
  • Own the execution of DPPM test content, including occasional weekend monitoring and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Collaborate with various teams to enhance the efficiency of DPPM test content proactively.
  • Conduct initial debugging of DPPM execution test failures, implement corrective measures, or submit tickets for advanced debugging assistance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create software tools that improve SoC Validation coverage and streamline the debugging process.
  • Develop robust solutions to address execution problems.
Preferred Experience
  • Proficiency in Python and Shell Scripting.
  • Experience working and running tests at scale on servers.
  • Practical experience with System Validation Automation Tools and Infrastructure, including Ansible, PyInfra, Jenkins, and Docker.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing various testing methodologies, test automation, and continuous integration systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of Linux and Linux OS kernel.
  • Previous experience with server systems and/or first-level debugging in computer platforms.
  • Prior experience in Linux server administration and Linux boot flow.
  • Familiarity with Computer Architecture concepts and silicon features.
  • Knowledge of Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability (RAS) x86 is a plus.
Academic Credentials

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Electronics / Computer Science related 2+ years of experience in Test Automation/validation development and test execution and debug.
