Job summary

Memorial Community Health, Inc. seeks a housekeeping team member to perform day-to-day cleaning to keep the facility clean, safe, and aseptic.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, offices, hallways and other areas; promoting safety; maintaining supplies and equipment; and complying with HIPAA, safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements. Experience in healthcare cleaning is preferred and ability to work with minimal supervision is helpful.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental services in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning solutions preferred.
• Understand relationship of sanitation and infection control preferred.

• Promotes and ensures patient and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities.
• Ensures proper supplies and equipment are maintained.
• Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of patients' medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained.
• Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations and requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Safety and Infection Control, all department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, and Federal and State of Nebraska regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Executes all general cleaning in assigned areas by performing day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and aseptic manner.

Job Duties:

• Cleans and services resident rooms, offices and hallways, as well as other inpatient, outpatient and ancillary areas.
• Promotes and ensures patient and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities.
• Ensures proper supplies and equipment are maintained.
• Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of patients' medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in environmental services in a healthcare setting preferred
• Knowledge of how to choose and mix proper cleaning solutions preferred
