Job summary

American StaffCorp in Claremore, OK is seeking a Pour Room Technician (Stone Fabrication) to reinforce and repair natural and engineered stone slabs in the casting/pour room. You will apply fiberglass mesh, pour epoxy resins, and prep slabs for cutting and polishing.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to handle heavy slabs, and adherence to safety protocols. On-site work with exposure to dust, fumes, and loud equipment; PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in stone fabrication, auto-body repair, concrete finishing, or related manufacturing with resins is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Slab Inspection: Examine incoming stone slabs for structural integrity and map fissures or voids that need epoxy filling.
• Fiberglass Mesh Backing: Apply fiberglass mesh and resin to backs of fragile slabs for structural reinforcement.
• Resin & Epoxy Pouring: Mix, tint, and pour epoxy or polyester resins to fill voids and cracks on slab faces.
• Chemical Blending: Accurately measure and mix resins, hardeners, accelerators, and pigments.
• Curing Management: Prepare slabs for curing, manage curing tables and racks.
• Surface Pre-Scraping: Remove excess cured resin to prepare flat surfaces for polishing.
• Material Handling & Safety: Safely move heavy slabs with cranes or lifters; observe safety protocols.
• Inventory & Maintenance: Keep workspace clean; manage chemical inventory and tools.
