Job summary

New Kent Coatings is seeking a motivated Epoxy Floor Installer to perform concrete floor preparation and apply resinous coatings or polished concrete. You will assist with project tasks, operate grinding equipment, and support a fast-paced team in Chesapeake, VA.

The role requires experience in epoxy flooring or polishing, physical stamina, and a willingness to travel as needed. We offer a competitive pay range plus a bonus program and paid time off, with full-time hours and multiple shift

Qualifications

• Experience in epoxy flooring and/or concrete polishing.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Clear background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Flexible; travel and varied day/night/weekend work as projects require.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
• Bilingual a plus but not required.
• Team player who grows and masters epoxy floor installation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project completion with coating applications like troweling, shot blasting, and polishing.
• Operate propane diamond grinding equipment for wet concrete polishing.
• Keep work areas, warehouse, equipment, and vehicles clean and organized.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Experience in installing epoxy flooring and/or concrete polishing.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Clear background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Flexible; must be able to travel and work days, nights, and weekends as required to complete projects.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
• Bilingual a plus, but not required.

• Wants to continually grow, improve, and master the craft of epoxy floor installation and shows progression in skillset.

Job Description (including but not limited to)

• Assist in the completion of projects by working with various coating applications. Such as power troweling and/or hand troweling mortars, shot blasting concrete, joint cutting/filling and operating propane diamond grinding equipment for wet concrete polishing systems.
• Demonstrate incredible attention to detail and be willing to correct mistakes right away.
• Help team keep work area, warehouse, storage, equipment, and vehicles clean, organized, and maintained.
