Job summary

New Kent Coatings, Inc. is seeking a Concrete Polisher to perform concrete floor preparation and install resinous floor coatings or polished concrete at client sites in Chesapeake, VA. The role requires hands-on polishing experience and the ability to travel for projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in installing epoxy flooring and/or concrete polishing.

Responsibilities

• Polish and finish concrete floors and assist in resinous coating installations.
• Operate propane diamond grinders and other tools for surface preparation.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites, equipment, and vehicles.
• Support team to complete projects on time and to specification.

New Kent Coatings, Inc. is looking for highly motivated, self-starters, for concrete floor preparation and installation of resinous floor coatings and/or polished concrete to hire immediately! Experience is a must. We offer a great work environment with competitive pay.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Experience in installing epoxy flooring and/or concrete polishing.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Clear background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Flexible; must be able to travel and work days, nights, and weekends as required to complete projects.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
• Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent team player: trustworthy, honest, responsible, reliable, positive attitude, quick learner, believes in always doing their best work.
• Wants to continually grow, improve, and master the craft of epoxy floor installation and shows progression in skillset.

Job Description (including but not limited to)

• 2- years of polishing concrete experience
• Assist in the completion of projects by working with various coating applications. Such as power troweling and/or hand troweling mortars, shot blasting concrete, joint cutting/filling, and operating propane diamond grinding equipment for wet concrete polishing systems.
• Demonstrate incredible attention to detail and be willing to correct mistakes right away.
• Helped the team keep the work area, warehouse, storage, equipment, and vehicles clean, organized, and maintained.
• Comfortable using various tools, such as handheld floor grinders, walk-behind grinders, vacuums, etc.
