AXIS Capital in New Jersey invites you to join its Wholesale Financial Lines Claims team as a Claims Specialist for Employment Practices Liability. You will investigate and evaluate EPL claims, determine coverage, and work with insureds, brokers, and external counsel.

This role requires a Juris Doctorate, the ability to lead claim strategies, travel for mediations, and be in the office three days per week. AXIS offers a competitive base salary, incentive compensation, medical, retirement plans,

Qualifications

• Hold a Juris Doctorate.
• Experience in EPL or insurance litigation is a plus.
• Ability to manage complex claims and coordinate with external counsel.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and evaluate Employment Practices Liability claims.
• Determine coverage determinations and settlement strategies.
• Travel for mediations and observe trials; engage with AXIS partners and insureds.
• Escalate coverage concerns and coordinate with outside coverage attorneys when needed.
• Develop claim and litigation strategies and supervise external legal advisors.
