Job summary

Inova Neurology is seeking a dedicated Epileptologist to join the team in Northern Virginia. The role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligibility and a comprehensive compensation package.

The Epileptologist will provide high-quality medical care, develop treatment plans, and educate patients on disease prevention and management while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Inova emphasizes safety, quality, and patient experience across its network.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
• Training: Neurology residency and Epilepsy fellowship.
• Board Certification: Board eligible or board certified in Neurology.

Responsibilities

• Completes initial assessments and evaluations of new patients and provides ongoing monitoring of patients' medical conditions while providing treatment.
• Orders prescription medications and diagnostic procedures while authorizing and coordinating all specialty and ancillary services.
• Participates in the development of preventive health screenings and other programs.
• Participates in a wide range of clinical research projects and studies.
• Participates in multidisciplinary team activities such as case conferences.
• Provides in-service staff development and clinical teachings to trainees.
• Maintains consultative relationships with nurses and rehabilitation staff.
