Job summary

The Department of Neurology and Behavioral Health at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine seeks an Assistant Professor in the non-tenure academic clinician track, specializing in epilepsy management and EEG interpretation across infant to adult patients.

The successful candidate will teach medical students and residents, lead epilepsy program development, and collaborate with the university research department.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent with board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry and Neurology.
• Subspecialty designation in clinical neurophysiology through ABCN is preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Texas medical license.

Responsibilities

• Teach UTRGV medical students and residents (Neurology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Podiatry).
• Lead development of the Epilepsy program and collaborate with the Research Department.
• Outpatient clinic responsibilities at the Institute of Neuroscience in Harlingen; no inpatient duties.
